Definition:-                        A solenoid valve is an electromechanically operated valve. The valve is controlled by an electric current through a solenoid: in the case of a two-port valve the flow is switched on or off; in the case of a three-port valve, the outflow is switched between the two outlet ports. Working Principal:-                     An electric current through the coil creates a magnetic field. The magnetic field exerts a force on the plunger. As a result, the plunger is pulled toward the center of the coil so that the orifice opens. This is the basic principle that is used to open and close solenoid valves. Types:- 1. Definition:-          A screw pump is a positive-displacement (PD) pumps that use one or several screws to move fluids or solids along the screw(s) axis. In its simplest form (the Archimedes' screw pump), a single screw rotates in a cylindrical cavity, thereby moving the material along the screw's spindle. Detail:- Screw pumps (fixed displacement) consist of two Archimedes' screws that  inter mesh  and are enclosed within the same chamber.
